Ooof, this little Chunky Monkey was born yesterday to Bergli Stud.  What a beautiful little chap and look who solid he is.

Apparently he goes around with his tongue out which makes him extra special gorgeousness.  My girls and I love it when anyone (animal) does this!

This miniature foal is just beginning to unravel and stretch out.  He has to find out which bit goes where and why.

Hopefully, he will get the plot soon!

I adore this little foal mostly because he is so solid and has the cutest face ever.

A leg at each corner, we would say.

He is another that may well vanish in the middle of the night (and may well be found with me – I am saying nothing!)

I am very jealous of Bergli Stud.  They have such wonderful foals and I just want to hug them all.

The silage bale is where everyone congregates when they feel peckish (as if the spring grass is not enough).

The thing that strikes me the most, the other afternoon, is just how alike Hetja and Hjalti are.

Yes, they are mother and son but they have the same expression and thoughts.  Two perfect peas in a perfect pod.

Soon, yes, soon, I will wean Hjalti from Hetja.  I have made the decision to put Hetja into the Fat Park with Silver, Waffle, Klaengur and Iacs – all who need to lose weight rather than get laminitis. Vitamin will go to a field where she can boss little girls around (she will love that) and Bra will remain with Delia at Thordale while she has her foal.  In the big park (at Thordale) we will have Taktur, Kappi, Hjalti, Storm and Tiddles.

This is my new plan.  I give it five minutes before I change my mind again.  You know me – nothing is written in stone.  This time of year it is a matter of juggling.

This is Tiwa II of Berry standing today in the daffodils in the spring sunshine.  She is perfection.

There is something about this filly.  Something very special.

She has a gorgeous expression.

Her mane is lovely, soft and in “an abundance”, which is exactly what the breed standard wants.

Sadly, my pockets are already full with various Shetland ponii (plural?  Who knows).

Tiwa II is definitely nose-kissey material.

Her markings are perfect on each side.

Dammit, these beautiful little miniature Shetland ponies are addictive.

Someone said to me that they couldn’t “see the point of miniature Shetland ponies”.  Their loss.

Minis are beautiful.

I think I am in love! (again)

Last night, Bergli Stud had 3 foals.

OMG! That is three little bundles of floofiness.

Obviously, I had to go and meet them (and photograph them).  It would be silly not to.

First up, is a lovely stand black filly for the Berry Stud – Bergli Stud are looking after the mare and she will be returned, with her foal to the Berry Stud later this summer.

Second up, is a darling black standard/midi colt for Bergli.  He is a fine upstanding little lad with lots of potential.

Sire:   Jubilant av Bergli (an absolute favourite of mine who has the best temperament)

And then, and by no means least, and I will admit I want to pop this foal down my cleavage and take her home with me……

…. a darling little palomino fairy-tale miniature filly (or heaven with legs and whiskers).

She is precious heaven and I luffs her.

I love foaling time.  Lots of little wuffles that need to be hugged!

Bergli Stud have had another shetland pony foal.

A wonderful standard black colt who is stunning.

He is well put together as well as being very eye-catching.

The absolute best bit, in my book, is that this colt landed on the ground instantly tame.  Even I got a nose kissey/snog on Day 1, which made my heart melt and now I am wondering how I can sneak him away in a camera bag while no one notices.

he has perfect whiskers.

And look he tölts!  Such a clever lad.

Oof, this is a darling little black colt.

So divine and so utterly perfect.

I think I am truly in love.
