On boat south

Floss and I are now safely stowed in the ferry south to Aberdeen.  It is 13 1/2 hour crossing and apparently it will be calm.

It was a lovely morning – the view first thing from my bedroom window. The three Old Men were having a well-earned rest after yesterday’s bad weather.

BeAnne realised that I was leaving and showed her disappointment.

We’ve had a little discussion about being here when I return.

A big drive tomorrow. Wish us luck. Xx

I hope you get a good night’s sleep on the ferry. If you’re coming down the A1 and decide to stop at Scotch Corner services, I’d love to come and join you for a quick coffee! And I could bring you some home made choc chip cookies to keep you going on the next leg of your journey!

That is so kind of you. Thank you. Not sure if we are coming down that way and I am trying to avoid folk because of going on to see my 80year old mother afterwards.

Once this Covid stuff dies down, yes, I will take you up on the offer. Xx

Sadly no. Got to Tebay, though (naffness extravaganza in “”””farm”””” shop!). Have headache but have cup of tea.

Wishing you the safest of travels and much joy in the journey too! May all your critters back home be well taken care of in your absence.,
