If I fits, I sits!

“If I fits, I sits“…

Our house is still in a bit of a disarray as we are waiting on some Persian carpet underlay to arrive before we put down the new-to-us replacement rug.

So things are not where they should be.  I had emptied “Aunt Kate’s (my great great) tallboy” of its drawers to make it easier to move and had stacked them hopefully in the right order next door.

Monster and Pepper were having an after-supper game and this is where Monster decided to hide obviously maintaining the element of surprise with maximum invisibility.

Possibly it didn’t work.

After he realised this, Monster vanished for a while and I couldn’t find him anywhere until I looked properly.

He’s even got a double chin rest.  Perfect for all his double chin needs.

Funny boy. He even looks wonderful when he’s invisible.

Yes, cats in the places they choose to sit down in always makes me laugh. Monsters such a delight. Hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend and have a great week.

I must say that Monster looks much more comfortable in the earlier pics…..those later ones look darn uncomfortable. Oh well, whatever works, I guess.

Hi Frances: here is a little bit of furniture insight into cabinets and drawers.
There was a custom furniture builder in the county that would number the drawers for their cabinetry.
There is a hand written number on the bottom side of the drawer that corresponds to the location in the cabinet. I think they numbered from Top (#1) to bottom (#4 for example). Large number written in some type of marker/soft pencil.

As each drawer was made to exactly fit the opening, this kept the drawers in order during the build process.

For owners of the cabinetry who knew of the design/fit, it keeps the correct drawer in the correct opening when doing a move like you have described.

Lovely rug by the way. I love colorful/geometrics/florals.

Ooh, I will have a look. Not sure I’ve seen any numbers but you never know. I have the original receipt of the tallboy from when it was made and paid for.
