We left Tebay after an excellent breakfast that hit many spots perfectly. The Twat-Nav took us on a scenic tour of the Lakes before putting us on the motorway again. I highly recommend the village of Orton – utterly beautiful. I would love to see more of this area.
A quick lunch stop somewhere – I actually have no idea where we are.
Once a year, just once a year I have a Burger King and secretly, I do quite like it (not the chips, though).
And finally, Bristol where we cleared out Floss’ rented room which she stayed only a few months in but was forced to pay a whole year’s rent for. Hmm… More student debt. Thanks, Boris.
We packed up the car which is now bursting at the seams, ate a Krispy Kreme doughnut (we have two boxes – gosh, they are yum) for energy and set off to find our Guest House for the night.
I will not be sorry to see the back of Bristol. Their roads are shocking but some of the houses are pretty. Onwards to Mum’s tomorrow first thing where we will stay for a week and I get to hug the luscious Teddy (and my Mum!)
Sorry Floss got stiffed with paying for a room she could not use. And we all have secret food yens. What flavor Krispy Kremes did you devour? Can’t wait for Teddy photos!
Thanks for the great pictures. What a fun trip. I love seeing the countryside as you travel along. Eat a Krispy Creme donut for me!!!! I have a huge sweet tooth!!!
