Car Problems

It’s been one of those mornings.

A nothing-going-particularly-right kind of morning (I couldn’t even get my Wordle and Connections completed easily).  That was The Sign.  I should’ve heeded it.

I took my old car in for its MOT and it failed right at the end, when they were about to sign it off as a pass! Out of nowhere the check engine light came on and so it had to be failed.  I left the car at the garage and a new brake-something will also be fitted as the rear left wheel was whistling and whirring on the way in (though apparently not an MOT failure).  I feel depressed now.  I am not good when things go wrong.

On a plus, though, a friend popped into the garage to see how my car was getting on and he kindly gave me a lift home.  So that actually was very helpful.  I didn’t fancy waiting hours for the bus.

And the rest of my day has just pottered along pretty normal from there.  Well, my normal anyway.

Such as it ever is.  So prayers that the bill is less than I think it will be for my Mum’s ancient Honda Jazz. It is at least 17 years old but a real work-horse and the last working thing I have her’s.

I need chocolate. Lots of it.

Hopefully you might have chocolates in the next couple of days. There’s a lovely chocolate shop in my local town who offer postal deliveries. It’s coming up to an anniversary of when they started the business so there have been a couple of Facebook posts recently, in one of which they said that the only place in the British Isles to where they hadn’t posted any chocolates was Shetland! So how could I resist? The delivery time was 3 to 5 days so should be with you soon, Frances. I hope you enjoy them! xx
