Everyone is home for Christmas. I am now officially happy.
And we have the Christmas decorations up. This was the first thing to do after lunch. We had waited for everyone to come home before doing this.
Lots of help from everyone made things much easier.
Apparently (Daisy took this photo).
It is lovely to see the old familiar decorations. They are part of our family Christmas tradition.
Even Lambie is immortalised on the tree.
And I have half of Mum’s decorations too.
The festive branches are up. As Flossie said “there is stuff everywhere” with no theme.
I wonder if it will bring out the festive spirit in us all now.
And Francis can now breathe a small sigh of relief and relax with a (large?) glass of something alcofrolic – everyone is home safe and Daisy will be casting a knowledgeable eye over the horses and ponies.
In a nutshell
Glad everyone is safely home. Lovely to see your decorations going up. We did our tree today too.
Happy Holidays, Francis, to you and your large (and sometimes furry) family!
I wish you a terrific 2025!
Happy that everyone is safely tucked inside. The tree looks lovely. Ours also has ornaments from my grandmother, mom and step-dad. That’s what makes the tree sparkle. Now for the holiday spirit? I suggest adult beverages.
Merry Christmas to you too. You give us a present everyday with your musings and photos which are so appreciated.
so glad everyone is home safely and all the critters will be so happy to see the girls.
Hope my box made it safe and sound too. USPS said it landed on the 16th at 11:23 but I am not sure I can trust them.
Hope you all have a great holiday .
Warmest wishes
Colleen
