I know that my sheep are living in far-flung places, like Australia, Japan, America, etc but I have one very special sheep who lives on my friend’s desk at NASA, Houston. How cool is that? Seriously cool.
Alan McDougal and his wonderful wife, Steph, are excellent friends who visit us in Shetland – they’ve been twice.
Alan works as EHP S&MA Associate Manager for NASA.
“The long version is, get ready for it: extra-vehicular activity and human surface mobility program, safety and mission assurance associate manager. Mostly I run the Safety reviews for our new moon jeep and moon RV.”
But, anyway, Alan and Steph bought many of my felted Shetland sheep to give away as presents from their holidays, keeping one special one for themselves.

So I am very proud of my little NASA sheepie and every time I see another superb photo from Alan of his travels I say quietly to myself “to infinity and beyond”.
(not gonna lie, I’m sure it is all just playing with Lego reallly!)

Wow that\’s some interesting sheepy travels…
I am into genealogy. Part of my ancestry includes several families from Shetland (Dunrossness mostly), and this is a big part of my reason for following your daily message. I have two granddaughters who I think would like to have a sheep next to them and was wondering how to order and figure out shipping costs, etc. Can you fill me in on this? Thanks!

So cool! A friend is on R&D at Blue Origin working on the next rocket. Wonder if he needs a sheep?
We are digging out from a blizzard today – got just over 16″ of the white stuff. Sassy Sister Kittens had several naps on laps which was a lovely thing.

I think this thread might be the beginning of your sheep finding themselves in photos on their owners’ travels. In fact it could be the basis for a book or photo calendar you could use for future income.
EXCELLENT! But who could imagine that space scientists could manage without a little help from your flock. How exciting! And good to remember those who died in the cause.
