Dear Daisy

Dear Daisy,
Please can you send me some photos of Haakon so I know he is doing ok.
Thanks, Mum xx

(so she did – these are from this morning, I think)

And the photos kept appearing, which was lovely. And I thought well, this is the same photo but it isn’t. A small arrival was busy arriving.

The most perfect of photos.

Begging. Pepper has no morals.  She possibly left them in the house.

And I adore this photo too. Pepper looks like a queen, happy to be carried around by staff.

It didn’t take long!

Running Around

A have had a day spent running around (for Mum) as well as arranging various logistical stuff so it was lovely to come home to the Ted (and obviously Floss who has been holding this particular fort nobly).

When I saw Ted’s photos yesterday, I decided to give Ted the mother of all haircuts – those greasy whiskers had to go, as well as his claggy tail and some side hair.  After I had finished with my scissors there was a huge pile of Tedward fur and a small pile of actual Ted!

I think he looks are vastly improved and Ted was much happier too.

Pampering

It’s been a rough old time recently and to cap it all I had a stonker of a migraine last night, followed by a dream of walking with BeAnne which made me wake up crying. Awful.

Many of you have said it is important Floss and I look after ourselves so, as I wasn’t visiting Mum in hospital (my sister was going in), I took the day off from being me.

We went to M&S and then on to Tesco…..

Floss and I treated ourselves to three doughnuts each!

These are mine.

And I am not sharing.

Nope, not even if you look cute and can beg!

Autumn Chores

Floss and I are working hard, making space in the greeenhouse for the plants that won’t survive outside in the English winter.

Mostly geraniums, I think, but I take photos of the garden and show them to Mum, she tells me what to bring in and then I go back and we lug in another pot (well, Floss does most of the lugging).

Our early morning dogwalks also continue daily.  I have now taken to gently placing  undiscovered golf balls that I find in the rough on the green, cheekily next to the flag.  I have a theory that I could start WW3 if Donald Trump, Putin and Xi Jinping play golf here because you just wouldn’t know how the ball got there, whose it was and how to play it!

Today’s walk was especially beautiful even though we didn’t see any wildlife today.  But we did see a lone golfer in shorts and that is fairly incredible in itself because I am in my winter thermals and I thought I was fairly tough!

Perfect!
