My day of rest

Tomorrow I fly south so today I had my first real day off from everything. After a quick shop for provisions with my sister, (I am currently staying with her in London), I then offered to supervise outdoor playtime for their cat, Poppet, who is terrorised by the large neighbourhood cats.

Armed with my water gun, I sat in their lovely garden and soaked up the peace and quiet of not having to do anything all day. It was bliss.

And, of course, I took some photos.

Tomorrow I will do battle with British Airways who are cancelling flights left, right and centre.  Wish me luck or maybe wish them luck. My mood is not great for tolerating idiots, especially flight cancelling ones.

Your relatives all have lovely, interesting gardens, Frances! It looks like you did an excellent job of protecting Poppet – she looks nicely relaxed! Fingers crossed for your homeward journey.

Love the pictures today and so glad you got a nice day of rest before tackling the airport again. That Poppet is a real pretty cat! I can just see you sitting there with your water gun! Can’t wait til you’re back home again.
