Happy 4th Birthday Lambie

Happy 4th birthday to my darling Lambie.

Lambie was born on a horrid stormy night 4 years ago.  He was one of a twin but his sister died two days later and then later his mother.

Lambie lived with me pretty much from Day 1.

BeAnne has also been an integral part of his life too.

It has not always been plain sailing – Lambie had joint ill and couldn’t walk for many weeks but with many trips to the vet, endless antibiotics, massage and physio we got him up and running.  It was a family effort.

I know folk look at me like I am completely mad but Lambie is family and I am Lambie’s Mum.  I always will be.  We are imprinted on each other.

Lam’Bert and Lam’Ster were brought in later as company and friends to make up the Boyzenberries.

I went into their field for a birthday hug and chat.  It was wonderful. I had forgotten how much the Boyzens love sitting with me in their field.  For many months it has just been too wet but at last the ground has dried up thanks to a pretty fierce, but constant, drying Shetland wind.

So happy birthday to my darling boy.  And yes, he did have a birthday present.  Well you would, wouldn’t you?  That’s what you do with family.

You did a great job with Lambie. I remember reading about this and thinking he would never make it. I even wondered if it was right to try, given his health circumstances. But you absolutely proved me wrong, and I always enjoy seeing pictures of Lambie! I love pictures of Monster too!

Aw, Happy Birthday sweet boy! I loved seeing his baby pictures again. You are NOT mad at all, very often four leggeds make better friends than two leggeds. They give back SO MUCH for the love and care we give them. SO happy that your sheeples are all thriving!

Goodness, that four years has gone by so quickly. Lovely to see his baby photos again, and what a lucky boy he was to find you. I particularly like his exuberant jumping photo!

    Happy Birthday dear Lambie!

Lovely to see the photographs of Lambie as a baby. He and BeAnne were so sweet together. I can understand, now, why he’s so ‘speshul’ to you.

Sorry; there may be more than a few mistakes in this “Comment” and will explain later. However, Happy Birthday to Lambie and to the rest of you – well done!

Happy fourth birthday Lambie. Yes, animals are part of our family – very much so. I adore the photo of baby Lambie with BeAnne. What a shame about his sister and mother – I didn’t know that part of the story. So sad for them but thank goodness you got Lambie and worked so hard to get him into a lovely healthy boy. That’s what mothers do and you are a very good mother indeed.

They are all orphans and twins. ‘Ster’s Mum and sister died in the burn. ‘Bert too. (Daisy reckons they have a murder the sibling and parent thoughts!)

Is it FOUR years already?! I remember so well, how you took care of him (with BeAnn’s help of course). I loved seeing Lambie when he was so tiny, and now (snif, snif) he’s all grown up. But he will never, ever have any doubts about who his Mum is!
    Lucky Lambie…

Happy birthday to Lambie but round of congratulations to Mum for the great care to get him this far! I’ll bring belated cheese puffs in September.
