First stop

Off the boat at 07:00 and then to look for my car which had arrived the day before.  It was happily sitting in the freight car park, so I set my Twat-nav for Tesco, Dundee and off I trotted.

I wandered aimlessly around the vast Tesco, buying some breakfast and lunch  and drove down to Old Tebay. It was a fairly uneventful drive. Just the two snarl-ups. I am staying in a delightful B&B.

This is what you get for £39 including breakfast! I love it. A total bargain.

I really cannot complain because it is quiet, comfortable and I am in the most beautiful village.

I had a little wander around and am now resting on my bed while writing this, with a mug of tea at hand and afterwards I will walk down to the local pub for my supper.

Like I said, delightful.

As an American, I am always delighted at English B&B rooms. Yours is lovely. Can’t wait to see what the Pub is like. Safe travels south.

Pleased the first part of your road trip was relatively uneventful. Hope you manage a good night’s sleep, a good breakfast and that you have an easy journey tomorrow.

Frances, I have been out of town and have just caught up with your blog. Oh I’m so sorry to hear you are traveling for possibly a longish period of time. Praying that your Mom will be doing better and that you will have help in making the right decisions for her care. If you need moral or any kind of support, know that your blog friends are here and will help in any way we can. Blessings to you and your mom, on this difficult journey you’ve undertaken. May all go well.
