Where’s My Book?

This is an exceptionally good year for growing things, especially the wild flowers which are truly beautiful.  I shall attempt to name them all but forgive me if I get any wrong, which is probably inevitable.

These photos are all from Leradale which has a lovely diverse range.

Even though there is no one living there, I still like to take the dogs for a good run there.  They love it.

So here goes (reaches for her copy of Shetland Flowers):-

Yarrow

Grass-of-parnassus

Bog Asphodel

Heather

Bell Heather

Cross-leaved Heath

Tormentil

Round-leaved Sundew

Common Bird’s-foot-trefoil

Eyebright

And, lastly, these two flowers!  Iacs (L) and Haakon (R).

Do any of the heathers have a scent? So exciting each day to open your blog and see if you are covering flora/fauna or fluff/furries. It really brightens my day and my sister has me forwarding all posts as she can’t figure out how to sign up for herself….she is a huge horse lover followed by cats…so she always comments about your blog when we chat.
Great job on the new track areas. The minions looked so happy racing along.

Thank you for identifying all the beautiful flowers near you. What a wonderful year for flowers! Love those last 2 too!

Yes, also love all the wildflower shots and id of them. The little white cotton flowers on another page – would they be cotton-wooly enough to incorporate in the needlefelt sheep, or too difficult to work with??
