My Midge-Fest

I can’t think of anything to write except I have been plagued by midges all day.  No one else seems to mind and they must be attracted to only me.

I hates them. My day has been spent just trying to stay out of their way.  I can’t think straight when they are biting and it feels like hot needles.

And the thing is, there is a lovely breeze outside but where it is sheltered, the little biting blighters are out in force.

Gah!  I’ve had enough.

(sorry).

I sympathise about the midges! Glad we don’t have them in Australia….I’m harking back to your garden story of a few days ago and wondering if you can tell me the name of that beautiful purply/blue flower in your garden? Many thanks, Kerry

I think it is campanula – possibly the rockery variety. When the midges have calmed down, I will go out and identify it.

        I looked it up.

        Earleaf bellflower.
        Campanula cochleariifolia.
Also known as fair’s thimbles, dwarf bellflower.

Many thanks Frances! I’ve been looking up campanula (australia) and don’t know that I can get that one here but will have another search now with the correct name!
