From This to This!

Today was Ted’s day.  He was at the Greasy Muppet stage of his ever-growing coat. Being half Yorkshire Terrier and half Miniature Schnauzer, we think, his fur is not the best.  I think he got a lot of the Yorkie genes.  His fur is mostly cheap nylon.

Not great.  In fact, disgusting as Ted also had a recent conversation with a polecat in the wall two night’s before so there may have been that revolting eye-watering musky odour involved too, although we did give him (and Pepper who was worse) a late-night bath.  They were both beyond gross.

Anyway, I was glad Ted had an appointment with Sharon at the Foxy Dog, Scalloway and I was beginning to wish I had brought Pepper too but she didn’t have an appointment.

And now Ted looks like a film-star.

Albeit Dobby the House Elf!

But at least he smells beautiful.

Ted is such a sweet little boy and looks so smart for Christmas. He settled in so well to his complete change of life, perhaps we should all try it. Well done Ted !

Given the rough start he had in life before your Mum rescued him, Ted has grown into the most wonderful little chap. I wonder what he makes of the difference between the south of England and Shetland?

Hey, I’m just a bit offended! I’ve always said if I were a dog I’d be a Yorkshire terrier. But to be fair that’s because my hair is always untidy, it was red when I was younger and I was born in Yorkshire with some (though not all) Yorkshire ancestry. Then I found out one of my direct ancestors was called Rebecca Terrier! I believe you share her so you are part terrier yourself, Frances. [I think it’s a French Huguenot surname.] She’s a five times great grandmother, the second wife of Charles Gastineau and they were the parents of Mary who married Edward Barnard.

Only kidding about being offended! If only I were as sweet as Ted.
