So glad you ALL are OK. Power outages are to say the least a challenge. But of course you rose to meet it.
We still have power but keeping critter water unfrozen is an on going activity. Although the Canada goose loves to swim among the ice blocks in the stock tank, !! She is in her element.
    Stay safe. sending WARM wishes

I was worried but figured it was something like that! And there’s not much I can do from Texas but worry.
    Glad everything/everybody is ok!

So very happy to hear you have power back on! Yay! I was reading the Shetland Times and worried about you and all the critters. That’s a long time without electricity. Great to hear from you again.

So considerate of you to let your blog friends know you are OK, thank you. I confess I’ve been worrying about the animals on your behalf (and feeling much sympathy as we currently have a large generator outside the house and no mains power, but that’s because of a network fault, not bad weather).

Look forward to reading your next.

I was worried about you and your critters. I was getting daily updates from people in Lerwick that I follow and they had power. Scary time for all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank goodness you’re all right! The whole rest of the world continues to be broken, but at least there’s a little bright spot up in Shetland we can look to. You are much appreciated!

It’s good to know that you, family, and critters are safe. I remember ice storms growing up and sleeping by the fireplace. I’m now in FL and miss the cold tremendously–but not the loss of power!

I’m so glad you have power back, Frances! I’ve been looking at the BBC Scotland website several times a day since the news of the power lines came through to see what was happening.

So great to hear from you. I was Googling to try and find what had happened but didn’t come up with any answers. So glad that’s all it was. I was starting to imagine all sorts of scenarios, thankfully none are true and you’re back, accompanying me over breakfast every day here in NZ
