So…. what to do?
The boys want out… mostly Waffle, Tiddles and Storm who are now looking pretty much ok.
Tiddles is walking so much better – remember, he had a rotating hoof capsule (farrier diagnosis) after laminitis last year.
And then Storm was walking badly, all pottery – early laminitis?
As was Waffle…. again very pottery.
And then Albie was beyond ghastly – ready to die – but now doing so much better but definitely out of the woods.
The thing is, Albie is being picked on especially by Tiddles who is fed up and looking for a fight. We have had words about this attitude.
But, they must stay in for at least one month….. Poor Albie. I don’t know what to do. I feel sorry for him but it is far too early (lulled into false sense of security, I know) to let them out.
Given their hooves, they must be kept inside to battle Cabin Fever. Question is there another Minion who could be added to play referee? Or can Darling Albie be moved in with the Old Gents? Sad when a Minion bullies another for no reason at all.
Nope. They have what they have. No moving anyone.
It’s tough with a bunch of toddlers. lol
Do they settle when they have food, Frances? Would it be worth trying to get hold of a small bale of good clean barley straw so you could leave a couple of piles at different points for them to pick at when they run out of hay?
I will see if we have that. Is it very golden and flat?
Could you put them in your ride hall for more space. would that help?
I was going to suggest giving the boys a Jolly Ball but I see they have one already. Perhaps getting one that smells like bananas or blueberries would intrigue them and they’d quit picking on Albie? I kid you not, those balls come scented! My husband got two for our last pair of German Shepherds because one of them was obsessed with Jolly Balls and brother had to have one to carry too.
