Last day for Daisy (back to her work tomorrow and on the crack o’sparrows flight) and she rode Taktur, her Icelandic stallion, in the indoor school.

It was nice to watch Daisy and Taktur together. They will make a good team.
It is lovely seeing Daisy riding Iacs again.
She put him through his paces and announced he was 100% fine – both mentally and physically.
Just the same Bimble she had grown up with.
Meanwhile, two little naughty Minions had sneaked into the indoor school to play!
They didn’t care that Iacs was being put through a rigorous schooling session by Daisy.
Oh no, there were much better games to be played.
So Iacs and Daisy did their level best to ignore the little diversions.
The get-in-the-way game resulted in Iacs and Daisy doing endless shallow loops around the shenanigans
They flew around with the wind in their hair…..
…. until there were two small obstructions.
The Minions did their best to divert Iacs.
When they failed, they went on to annoy Flossie and to sit on her instead.
Iacs worked well. We are all very relieved he is back to his original factory default settings.
I shall now stop worrying about him.
Yes, she came cantering up the minute she spied who she spied walking towards her in the field.
And that was it.
“Hello?”
“Did you miss me?”
“Do you remember me?”
“Are you sure?”
“Because I missed you.”
“And to prove it, I wouldn’t let anyone catch me!”
“This is what happens when you go away.”
“I have hardly eaten a thing and I become feral.”
Meanwhile, Flossie was having her own “problems” with a different pony ….
She tried being tough….
But it is this coat – apparently it is edible!
Anyway, I think Lyra was pleased to see her Daisy.
Happy days, I have both my daughters home.
Daisy arrived from Norway this afternoon and the first thing she did was go and see her horses.
Iacs (with his silly frilly) – her first horse and….
And Kappi, her competition horse.
Everyone is very pleased to see Daisy home. She is back for a long weekend.
Little Tiddles gave her kisses.
And we introduced her to Brá.
It is going to be a lovely weekend. Chinese takeaway tonight, wine, lots of riding and laughing.

It had to be done.
Hjalti is wonderful, but he is not stallion material (I love that phrase and have to wonder exactly what stallions are made of – silk, linen, real cotton, spun gold, what?) and he does not need the testosterone.
And Hjalti does not need to try and have sex with everyone – he is firing blanks at the moment and is going through the “motions”.
He is still with his Mum and she is not impressed at his sexual antics. She sniffs with disapproval.
So Hjalti’s bits came off. They had to.
And I am glad they did (and the rest of the herd breathes a sigh of relief).
Little Himself is far more useful as a gelding than a stallion.
He may feel a bit grotty for a while.
But he will thank us for it later.
And he has still got his Mum – that is the next hurdle – weaning.
