Waffle’s Turn

While Vitamin was scarfing down her food along with a small guilty little mopper-upperer who had snuck in when I wasn’t noticing, ….

….Waffle took possession of the shed.  He was in like a rat up a drain pipe.  A very pretty rat, though.

Waffle was very pleased with himself.

Lots of smiling and a lovely nosey to plant a kiss on.

After her breakfast bucket, Vitamin wanted in so shoved her way past Waffle and went inside too.

Waffle blocked the entrance by looking utterly gorgeous and he practiced for a hair shampoo advert.

Albie appeared out of nowhere too.  It’s amazing just how many that small shed can fit.  I will wait to see if one rainy day the whole herd has squished in!

Your name’s not down, you’re not coming in!

Today has been pissing-awful weather so I wanted to check that Vitamin knew she had a shelter if she wanted it.  I was worried that others might have gone in and refused her entry.

I should’ve known better.

Vitamin was in residence.

This is Vitamin’s shed – maybe I should write that on the door.

Though, knowing Vitamin, Albie probably didn’t really want to go in.

He is a pony of very little brain and I know Vitamin is very kind about sharing her shed.

The others were mooching about in the persistent drizzle.

Hi, Newt! ❤️

I still have not forgiven Fivla her sins (chasing and ripping up Vitamin’s lovely rug) and I told her that I hoped Vitamin would not let her go in her shed.  She would not be welcome.

However, Tiddles would be welcome.

Albie was still chancing his hoof.  He certainly is a sturdy little chap.

And then suddenly Vitamin decided she was leaving ….

…and she walked off.  I feel very relieved she knows about her shed.  It will be useful when they come back home for winter especially if she isn’t allowed to wear a rug.

Hi, Albie! ❤️

Once gone, I mucked out while Storm did his best to thwart my attempts at being a proper pony owner.

And thank you, Storm!  *** sigh *** I should’ve known.

Get A Room!

“Get a Room” were the words from Daisy when I sent her these photos!

Last night, I was lying on the sofa watching the Women’s Football – the Euro 2022 Final at Wembley – totally transfixed and I never watch football!  This was history in the making and totally brilliant.

Meanwhile, Monster came and sat on me.  Pepper was on a big cushion close by.

Everyone was comfortable (sort of).

Sleep was on the agenda for some.

And then Pepper realised what was happening…..

And she tried very hard to ignore the situation ….

Until this happened.  And that was when Daisy wrote “Get a Room!” I can see her point.

Today, Monster has been posing for Crime Novel covers.

And then I found him stuck on the roof.

He was shouting at me.

While looking pathetic.

So I opened some roof windows and he managed to come inside.  Phew!  Can’t lose the model.

Visiting Klængur

I was out and about this morning with Pepper and I dropped in on Klængur at his “Slimming Clinic”. He is currently living with the beautiful Hekla who sort of likes him but keeps him at a distance.  She rules.

Klængur immediately walked over to see me, which was nice.

At least I have not been forgotten.

But Klængur is in the best place.  He lives on a fantastic “track system” during the daylight hours and then is moved to a small minimal grass paddock every night.

And I think he has lost some weight, or at least his grass belly has gone.  He is looking so much better.

I think I might join him!

A Place for Everything

Some were resting indoors with no intention of moving (yes, Pepper you were caught having gone back to bed) ….

and then there were those who preferred to be outside….

And so, armed with my helper (that would be Lambie who was on his own – he had refused to go into a field), I decided to tackle the feed-shed.

I think Lambie was fairly shocked at the state it was in.

As was I but I can’t blame anyone – it was all my fault.  All winter, I just throw all the rubbish to the back of the shed telling myself I will clear it out come Spring time.

Well, Summer is now sort of here so I could not put off this miserable job any longer.  It was looming.

Lambie was “helping” with his encouraging Winning Smile. It was all I needed and we had numerous rests where I would sit down and we would spend some Muzzah time together….. I am very easily distracted. Any excuse.

Anyway, I did finally acheive and the shed looks 100% better.

Everything in it’s place and a place for everything.  There are even two empty bins for the old feed bags – one for plastic and one for paper.  I have no excuse now not to keep this shed tidy.  The old TurmerAid pots are also incredibly useful. I am currently storing Vitamin’s veteran mix so it can travel in the car.  I am in a tidying mood at the moment.
