On the Boat home

We’re now on the boat having had a difficult train journey back to Aberdeen.

A broken ankle at Waverley with over an hour wait for the ambulance. Luckily not for us.

No time , therefore for shopping and browsing, a quick lunch, a speedy gallop around M&S and then onto the boat.

Apparently we are in for a very rough 14 hour crossing so I am preparing with a brandy and ginger or two….

Looks like sound tactics being deployed there – hope you at least get to enjoy the brandy and ginger.

Something I forgot to say in regard to the graduation ceremony. Loved the use of the britches! Wonder if John Knox forsaw a “monstrous regiment of women” being dubbed by his britches as part of a ceremony recognising their erudition…

Wishing you all a safe journey home and hope you are enjoying your memories looking back on a great day of celebrations

Brandy and ginger sounds a lot more promising than a glass of hot milk! I hope you can sleep through the worst.

But what a wonderful happy celebration you have had, and lots of memories to treasure.

Oh my gosh, your journey home sounds just horrendous. I can’t imagine a boat crossing of 14 hours in high winds and waves. I’m getting sick just thinking about it. Praying that all will go well and you will arrive at your destination in good shape, and so glad to be back on solid ground.
