Well, we’re out of there. All sorted, packed and done. We are all totally exhausted.
I shall miss this house, I lived in it from 1969 – 1981 and then visited my mother and step-father there afterwards. It was sad when we did the last check, lock up and left.
I am in London until Monday morning when I can fly back to Shetland, though British Airways are not looking hopeful.
I need to sleep for a week.
It’s always sad to say goodbye to our childhood home – and with memories of your mother there too. I’m so sorry, but at least you’re going back to your family (and I include the sheep and horses and cat and dogs in that too) in the North.
Sending you a virtual hug. All that hard work you did is an impressive accomplishment. Hope your flight back is soon and quick, Louise
Big Hugs Frances… It sounds really hard. X
Physically and emationally exhausting, Frances. I hope you get home without too much hassle. I can imagine the welcome you’ll get – that’s something to look forward to!
Congratulations on finishing a very hard job. Your mom’s house was beautiful and I loved the gardens too. I’m sure you’ll miss it. Hope your travels home will go better than the start of your trip. Take care, Frances.
Really heartbreaking. So sorry.
I will miss seeing your Mom’s lovely gardens. Hugs for packing up the family home. That is brutally hard work.
