This is my world, here in Shetland.
And this is Flossie’s world in Chengdu, China where she is living and working for a while.
As you can see it is somewhat different to what she is used to.
And yes of course we told her to bring a panda-baby home. The one in the middle upside down is my favourite. Dammit, they are all my favourites.
Last week Flossie went to visit Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding.
She said it was amazing.
Jealous, moi? Of course.
The red panda was not cooperating on that day.
Anyway, Flossie is learning to play Mahjong. She promised to teach me when she comes home.
The internet is a marvellous thing. Apparently, according to Google, Lerwick (our nearest town) and Chengdu are 4,889 miles away.
Flossie is having weird things to eat – pig’s brains served in a jam tart foil dish!
Or suckery legs!
Our lives seem very different at the moment.
Flossie is sending back some wonderful photos. Pandas make a change from ponies.
Those pandas are almost as cute as the Minions and Lambie. Have to say I think I prefer bannocks and rhubarb jam to suckery legs and pigs brains
I do love a suckery leg!
I just came to, after fainting at the sight of pig’s brains. Suckery legs…maybe. Actually, I’d prefer eucalyptus leaves, like the pandas. But thanks for the update on Flossie’s life abroad — I was wondering how she is doing.
Oh wow, what great and interesting pics, except for the food! I didn’t know Flossie went to China. I must have missed that somewhere along the line! Is she going to school over there. What tales she will have to tell when she gets back home. Love the panda pics so much!
No, she is working over there.
Lovely to get an insight into Flossie’s world at the moment. Thanks for the photo’s. Those Pandas are amazing. I am afraid she can keep the food though!!! What an interesting time she must be having. I like your Shetland world the best though.
Wonderful panda pictures!
